Sustainability in the Supply Chain
Supply Chain Sustainability
Pharmaron takes responsible sourcing and supply chain sustainability seriously. We keep improving how we manage suppliers across the full chain. That includes finding and reducing environmental, social and governance, or ESG, risks in our supplier network. We also promote purchasing choices that support the environment and strengthen diversity, equity and inclusion across the supply chain.
We expect anyone who works with us, for us or on our behalf to follow the same ethical standards and values in our Code of Conduct for Business Partners.
Supply Chain Management
Pharmaron continues to strengthen its end-to-end supply chain management system. The goal is clear. We want every step, from sourcing raw materials to delivering services, to be efficient, high quality and cost-effective.

We support responsible operations by screening suppliers, building sustainability into approvals and completing due diligence with a focus on compliance and sustainability risk.

We use tailored supplier management approaches, including grouping suppliers to match the right level of oversight.

We reduce risk and improve supplier performance through regular evaluations. These reviews can include risk categorization, onsite audits, questionnaires and scorecards.

We also plan for continuity. We prioritize supply stability for high-risk materials and use tools like safety stock and multi-sourcing to reduce disruptions.
Green Procurement
Pharmaron prioritizes green procurement by building ESG requirements into supplier approval and by favoring suppliers that meet environmental standards. We focus on practical choices that reduce impact. That includes lower-carbon products, ISO 14000-certified suppliers for raw materials and equipment, and energy-efficient electrical appliances that meet 3C certification standards. We also encourage solvent recycling and reuse, and we support manufacturing methods that reduce environmental harm.
Case: Pharmaron UK’s Green Procurement Campaign
Pharmaron UK kicked off the RED2GREEN campaign in partnership with Redbox, an office supplies provider. For each order placed with Redbox, Pharmaron UK donates 99 pence to The Green Earth charity. With support from GiftTrees, those donations fund tree planting to help protect the environment.
Supporting Value Chain Emission Reduction
Reducing carbon emissions across the value chain is key to building a lower-carbon future. It takes shared effort and long-term follow-through. Pharmaron has developed a plan to reduce supply chain emissions as part of this commitment. We work with suppliers and partners to support a lower-carbon value chain and to identify ways to reduce our overall footprint.
Supply Chain Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
Pharmaron recognizes the value of a diverse supply chain. It supports stronger collaboration across the value chain and helps deliver stable, reliable services for customers.
We continue to broaden our supplier base and strengthen transparency. We focus on key building blocks, including governance, whistleblowing, monitoring and reporting, so our approach can keep pace as market conditions become more complex.
Our supplier network includes small and micro businesses, businesses owned by people with disabilities or minority groups, women-owned businesses and veteran-owned businesses. We do not set a size limit for partner companies. We aim to work with a wide mix of suppliers to support innovation and deliver value for stakeholders.
Communication and Collaboration with Suppliers
We engage with suppliers regularly on topics that matter, including ethics, labor rights and human rights, health and safety, environmental practices, business sustainability and diversity and inclusion. We also share learning resources to help suppliers understand our values and our Code of Conduct for Business Partners., so expectations are clear and consistent.
